Nine Days Old is an acoustic music ensemble whose unique sound blends traditional American music, bluegrass, and modern popular styles, merges the musical talents of Anne Rademacher, David Heiser, and Steve Curtis. Rich vocal harmonies combine with guitars, percussion, mountain dulcimer, and an assortment of folk instruments to create the band's innovative music. Members of Nine Days Old have played and studied international music, from David's start with a Nashville based Celtic band to Anne and Steve's studies in traditional music in Nepal and West Africa; these sounds influence the band's own brand of folk. The distinctive musical creations of Nine Days Old are woven of threads of many musical genres and styles, and the result is a new and vibrant "mosaic" acoustic sound. This summer these residents of Clipper Mills, CA can be heard throughout northern California promoting their new recording, Falling Apples, and delighting audiences with their truly original music.

Nine Days Old is an amazing acoustic band that can't be constrained
to the limiting description of "folk music". You just
gotta hear 'em. I did, just once, and became an instant fan and
decided I had to set up their Web page. -- Dragon
