The Official Blog of David Fiedler
Now this is my kinda guy!
According to
this article in the Washington Post, a 59-year-old corporate executive in England was discovered to have three wives when they all showed up to visit them in the hospital after a triple bypass operation (no comment on that part!).
The best part is that the guy pleaded guilty to two counts of bigamy and got a four-month suspended sentence and a fine of $126 (or whatever that is in pounds). That's not even a slap on the wrist in England!
So here's my question of the day for all you lawyers out there: the article concludes by saying that his second and third marriages were never valid legally. If that's the case...how could he be guilty of bigamy?!?!?!
Ten Years of the Net?
The headline of
this article in the Belfast Telegraph caught my eye while I was surfing at just under light speed.
Ten whole years, huh?
Er, no. Ten years ago I got my first job with the title "Web" in it, but way back in 2003 I celebrated my:
- Ten year anniversary on the web (that's with a web site, not just with a browser).
- Twenty year anniversary on the net (that's with my own domain, not with a dialup account).
- Twenty-five year anniversary writing about the computer industry.
I'm sure there are many other people who can say the same, but I guess the Belfast Telegraph isn't one of them.
This master blog more or less faithfully follows all my activities and interests, while copies of individual posts will end up on my separate topic blogs, which follow below:
